I began to emerge from the forest at around the age of 20 and began to look for whatever healing modality I could find. I went into psychotherapy, first to learn how to speak and then began to learn the trade. I went on to massage therapy college and passed with an average of 95%, and immediately went on to teach at the college while developing my own practice.

During that time, I was picking up courses related to osteopathy and eventually moved on to studying homeopathy online with a school in England for over 8 years. These studies continue.

Words were not my first language. I drew and I observed. I discovered my poetry when my sisters came to visit and requested that I read them my poems. I then realized that I continued to write poetry perhaps as an outlet for emotions, as I rarely cried. I went on to begin my memoirs in my seventh decade, and that was a conscious choice; to bring it out into the clear open air, rather than keep it lost in the darkness.

This is a collection of poems and memoirs. The poems were written over many years. I became aware that I was writing poetry after my sisters requested that I read to them my poems. The memoirs were written more recently. There may be more in the future, but the intention next is to write about listening.
